- How fast you hear about service of process, and whether anyone calls rather than just uploading a scan
- Whether documents are scanned and stored somewhere you can find them later, or forwarded as paper
- Whether deadline reminders come with it, or you are on your own for annual reports
- Whether the price is the price, or a first year teaser that renews higher
Watch the renewal, not the headline
A free first year bundled into a formation package is common, and so is a renewal well above what the first year suggested. The number that matters is the ongoing one, because this is a service you will pay for every year the company exists.
